Standard Functional Tests
Fans
Fan performance measurements: flow rate, pressure, power consumption, torque, and acoustic emissions. Flow rate range: 10–20 000 m³/h.
Related Services
Design, prototyping, and testing of fans for specific applications. Additional support through redesign, virtual simulations and CFD, and the development of dedicated test benches.
Heat Exchangers
Thermal performance and pressure drop testing for heat exchangers, radiators, finned coils (air-air, air-water, air-oil), evaporators, and condensers for HVAC+R water-refrigerant and air-refrigerant applications. Power range: 10 W – 60 kW.

Household Appliances
All types of appliance testing: competitor benchmarking, quality tests, product development tests for R&D, test bench construction, definition of accelerated testing methods, testing methodologies integrated with custom numerical models for digital twin development and validation, as well as SIL/HIL (Software in the Loop and Hardware in the Loop) activities. Scope: any appliance (refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, wine coolers, etc.), for domestic or professional use.

Climatic Chamber
Climatic chamber testing to verify the performance of appliances, heat pumps, chillers, heat recovery units, or any other device requiring assessment under controlled environmental conditions. Temperature range: +5°C / +50°C (applications also at -25°C), dimensions 3x5x3 m.
Acoustic Tests
Acoustic characterization of products and components through tests with acoustic intensity probes and sound pressure measurements, with the option of coupling vibration measurements (fans, heat exchangers, heat pumps, appliances, etc.). Noise source identification via 3D mapping. Acoustic power measurements according to ISO 9614-1/2, ANSI S12.12, and variants, carried out in our laboratory or on-site.

Custom Functional Tests
In addition to standard functional tests, we develop customized tests to verify the functionality and performance of innovative products or processes, or for validation needs of numerical models or virtual simulations and CFD. Setup of tailored measurement systems, either in our laboratories or at the client’s site, thanks to in-house expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, acoustics, fluid machinery, and process industry.
Available Instrumentation
Pressure
Static pressure or pressure drop in liquids, gases, refrigerant fluids, wide range from 10 Pa to 100 bar; total pressure probes for flows; analysis of unsteady pressure fields with sampling frequency up to 10 kHz.
Temperature and Humidity
Temperature measurements of flows, surfaces, solids (all types of thermocouples, PT100, NTC, etc.); capacitive and chilled mirror hygrometric probes for a wide range of temperature/humidity measurements. Surface thermography using thermochromic liquid crystals.
Acoustics
Sound level measurements or acoustic intensity probe surveys to determine sound pressure or acoustic power, and for sound source identification activities.
Flow Rate and Fluid Velocity
Hot-wire and total pressure probes for measurements from 0.1 to 50 m/s. Flow rate measurements using magnetic flowmeters, throttling devices, or nozzle chambers according to UNI 5167/5801 (airflow rates up to 20 000 m3/h). 3D flow field characterization with non-intrusive measurements using PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry).
Electrical Load
Possibility of supplying stabilized electrical power. Measurement of consumption with high-precision single-phase and three-phase power analyzer.
